
Bomb Story: Les Miserables by Victor Hugo was one of Bobby Hundreds’ favorite books and plays as a youth. The tragic epic of Jean Valjean is a classic depiction of the Hero’s journey, one that any artist or creator can relate to. What’s interesting is that the artwork is arguably more memorable than the story itself: an etching by Gustave Brion.| Background Story: Known as ""Chocolate Chip"" camouflage by the U.S. military, this pattern was developed in the 1970s to resemble the California desert-scape. We wanted to own this one since we are a West Coast brand. But, also because Chocolate Chip camo was popularized in our teenage era of the Persian Gulf war. Desert Camo literalized the earth and rocks through photorealistic representations, as opposed to the traditional illustrations.
