Bomb Story: Bobby's sole tattoo is by artist Mister Cartoon, an LA icon whose background in lowrider art, graffiti, and streetwear makes him one of the most prolific artists of our time. We've had the fortune of working with Cartoon on several occasions, but in November of 2018, The Hundreds released an expansive capsule collection together. A must-ask piece to seal the deal? A clown interpretation of Adam Bomb...| Background Story: Horizontal stripes, especially of the yarn-dyed variety, are a staple of The Hundreds' collection. Earlier on, they were derived from the surf knits and beachgoer patterns that graced the backs of Californians in the 1980s. Examples include Hang Ten, OP, Quiksilver, and Gotcha. In the following decade, independent skate brands and rave companies capitalized on stripes across boxy, baggy tops. Whether they're fatter stripes across neighborhood-sanctioned Charlie Browns or pinstripes across suiting or a baseball jersey, The Hundreds' stripes speak to a spectrum of subcultures.
