
Bomb Story: Les Miserables by Victor Hugo was one of Bobby Hundreds’ favorite books and plays as a youth. The tragic epic of Jean Valjean is a classic depiction of the Hero’s journey, one that any artist or creator can relate to. What’s interesting is that the artwork is arguably more memorable than the story itself: an etching by Gustave Brion.| Background Story: At the time, it was popular for repeating prints like these on button-up woven shirts to be emblazoned with bright, cheerful flowers. The contrarians that we are, we wished to see nature in decay against a merciless climate crisis. The flowers are withering and the result was sobering.
