Bomb Story: At the start of the lockdown, we were nervous about our audience's appetite for clothing. Our first collaboration out the gates was with Blue the Great, a close friend of the brand and a popular artist who has worked with TDE and the Jordan Brand. The Hundreds by Blue the Great not only succeeded, but it blew past all expectations. This collaboration set the tone for the rest of the pandemic year as The Hundreds' momentum climbed and Blue's artwork continued to explode. This is one of two pieces from that collection: Blue Adam incorporates the artist's signature ""mummification"" around our mascot.| Background Story: If there was ever a pattern that encapsulated The Hundreds, it would be Paisley. Our first big hit, the one that put us on the map, was the all-over-print Paisley hoodie from 2005. There's an unabridged version of this story in Bobby's book, but that sweatshirt sold so much, and sold out so quickly overnight, that we allocated all of those funds to building our first flagship retail store on the corner of Fairfax and Rosewood. The pattern was designed in 2004, on a lesser-remembered piece called the ""Bandana"" zip-up. Over the years, those clusters of buta droplets continued onto The Hundreds T-shirts, across cut-n-sew collections, New Era fitteds, and collaborations with artists. The Paisley print not only defined us, but greater streetwear, as it trickled down into the work of later brands and designers.
