Bomb Story: For several years, The Hundreds compiled a collection exclusively for Hawaiian retail partners, entitled The Hundreds Hawaii. Pineapple Adam was offered in this collection. Little known fact, for some reason, the designer who worked on this wrote, ""Mahalo"" (translated as ""Thank You"") instead of something more like ""Aloha,"" underneath the character. We were too late to catch the mistake and so Hawaiian retailers used the imagery as window decals to show their customers gratitude.| Background Story: Hawaii is like a second home to Bobby Hundreds, as he has relatives on the islands and is a frequent visitor. We also used to run a The Hundreds Hawaii program, featuring designs and collections that were made exclusive to Hawaiian retailers. Our Hawaiian patterns are a nod to the classical Aloha shirt, but there's also always a personalized twist that is very much The Hundreds and essentially Los Angeles.
