Bomb Story: In the beginning, The Hundreds was inspired by nostalgic experiences and childhood, so often you'll see references to pop culture artifacts. This pattern is borrowed from the waxy, vintage candy packaging of the period.| Background Story: Known as ""Chocolate Chip"" camouflage by the U.S. military, this pattern was developed in the 1970s to resemble the California desert-scape. We wanted to own this one since we are a West Coast brand. But, also because Chocolate Chip camo was popularized in our teenage era of the Persian Gulf war. Desert Camo literalized the earth and rocks through photorealistic representations, as opposed to the traditional illustrations.
