Bomb Story: Tourist Adam is a nod to the Venice Beach souvenir shirts that grace the boardwalk. Over the decades, those tacky tees have served to become a uniform of sorts for out-of-towners to our city of Los Angeles and the greater California. But, they can also serve as rich inspiration material for T-shirt designers. There were two different ways we printed this design for the season, depending on the T-shirt color. This one filled the eyes and other elements of the character.| Background Story: The challenge was to design a new camouflage pattern using only one color. Typically, camos are broken up into multi-colored panels - was there a way to simplify the artwork down to its most base elements? We were able to retain the same identifiable shapes, but in order to distinguish them from each other, we used gradients like shadows or shading. Mission accomplished.
