Bomb Story: Les Miserables by Victor Hugo was one of Bobby Hundreds’ favorite books and plays as a youth. The tragic epic of Jean Valjean is a classic depiction of the Hero’s journey, one that any artist or creator can relate to. What’s interesting is that the artwork is arguably more memorable than the story itself: an etching by Gustave Brion.| Background Story: Quite prescient, the Crowds pattern was designed years before the rallies, protests, and riots of the last couple years. Disenchanted by the ""slacktivist"" generation, we were hopeful for a new class of youth who were galvanized to fight for themselves and fight for others. Crowds are comprised of an uprising. It also refers back to The Hundreds itself, a name that stands for a community in movement.
