Hey guys um...the supercomputer that rendered this painting told me to post this because it said it had more important things to do than data entry. When I asked the computer, but "what do I write here???" it yelled and me and said, "figure it out, isn't that what we pay you for?" But then I told it that I was just an unpaid intern, and then it just kinda sighed and gave me this artist statement to include... *ARTIST'S STATEMENT* My work explores the relationship between acquired synesthesia and life as performance. With influences as diverse as Kierkegaard and Roy Lichtenstein, new insights are manufactured from both explicit and implicit structures. Ever since I was a child I have been fascinated by the endless oscillation of relationships. What starts out as yearning soon becomes manipulated into a manifesto of greed, leaving only a sense of chaos and the prospect of a new beginning. As intermittent forms become clarified through frantic and critical practice, the viewer is left with a hymn to the inaccuracies of our era. --- And after I read that, I said... "I don't really get it, but that sounds cool." But I hadn't even realized it had already walked away. Whoops.
