Our friends at HerosToken asked if Jonah wanted to create some "Heros" art for a special auction piece. We helped Jonah come up with some ideas and talked about his favourite (super)heros. I asked him if he could make his own superhero and here's a super awesome Heros Mascot he came up with! He told me "it like a horse" and "it can fly and jump on buildings!" We hope his Superhero brings you joy, as much as it brought us during creation! 🥰 The funds from this auction piece will help our family with medical costs, private therapy fees, travel costs to and from the hospital, respite care - and other supports that help us give Jonah the best chance possible at beating all the odds as he lives with a rare disease. Jonah Neufeld is a special boy living with Dyskeratosis Congenita - a rare genetic form of bone marrow failure and cancer predisposition syndrome caused by defects in telomere biology. The treatment plan for DC is dependent upon the individual and the progression of their illness, but typically a bone marrow transplant is inevitable. Jonah has the severe subtype of the illness, but his condition is stable for the time being 🙏🏻
