A 2008 iconic Orange Wine made from 100% Ribolla Gialla, a native grape from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy. This wine is wildly fermented in large oak vats with no temperature control or additions. The wine is slowly extracted through extended skin contact and manual punch downs and ages in oak casks for multiple years before release. No fining or filtration is used. This wine has complex aromas of orange marmalade, grapefruit, black tea, honey, chalk and earth. The palate is well balanced with acid and smooth tannins and has an elegant finish.
