BitWine x Pearl Morissette All auction proceeds will be donated to Gillian's Place - a charity supporting women and children in St. Catherines, Ontario. The 2012 Cuvée JP is made from 100% Chardonnay from the Niagara Peninsula region of Ontario. This wine, produced by Pearl Morissette showcases the unique winemaking practices the winery has become iconic for. Rather than trying to produce wines that taste like coveted European regions, Pearl Morissette focuses on cultivating and highlighting the flavours that are unique to the Niagara terroir through low intervention practices both in the vineyards and in the cellar. Named after the late brother of one of the wineries partners with a hand-drawn label inspired by Alice in Wonderland, this Chardonnay has a special place in the Pearl Morissette library. Those who have been lucky enough to try this incredible wine have described it as opulent and rich with a vibrant brightness on the palate. Notes of yellow apple, citrus and lemon peel are rounded out with subtle notes of crème fraîche and butter, creating an intriguing and well-balanced wine.
