A 1998 Reserve Pinot Noir from the Gippsland area of the Victoria wine region of Australia. This wine comes from just 5 rows located in the middle of a tightly planted vineyard planted on silty loam soils. This unique vineyard creates profoundly intense, nuanced wines that are incredibly rare and speak boldly of the terroir. This wine is matured in new Alliers oak fro 20 months and is unfiltered which gives the wine a beautiful texture. Perfumed fruit aromas on the nose with flavours of concentrated, spicy, black cherries, clove and hints of mocha are rounded out with supple tannins on the palate. A fantastic representation of what Australian Pinot Noirs can be. Sweetness: dry Acidity: medium-plus Tannin: medium Alcohol: medium Body: medium-minus
