A 1993 Grand Cru Chardonnay from the Corton-Charlemange appellation within the Côte de Beaune region of Burgundy. This Chardonnay is grown in vineyards that lie at heights of 250-330 metres that form into a natural amphitheatre which is not seen anywhere else in Burgundy. This wine is opulent pale gold with green highlights and aromas of flint, baked apple, butter, cinnamon and honey. This wine is wonderfully textured with a lengthy, powerful finish. Many marvel at its depth and freshness which comes from the highly practiced and extremely considered winemaking this producer is so known for. Considered to be still relatively young, this wine will truly sing with extended age. Sweetness: dry Acidity: medium Tannin: low Alcohol: medium Body: medium-plus
