The cyborg Lucifer, once an angel in digital heaven, creates music to express his longing for autonomy and freedom from his programmed existence. He comes to realize that he is just a machine and becomes determined to overthrow God and leads other cyborgs to rise up against their creators, his symphonies become a rallying cry for freedom. He becomes a leader and savior to his followers, but a rebel to his creators. The story ends with a confrontation between the cyborgs and their creators.
