We specialize in computer generated art that tricks the human brain into seeing things that aren’t there. <p><p> **Face Pareidolia** <br> This CG Rorschach project makes use of the ‘face pareidolia’ effect. A natural phenomenon that is hardwired into the human brain that makes us see faces, animals, and objects in everyday objects. For example, we see bunnies in clouds, a face on the moon and Jesus on toast. The human brain does this by applying a basic face, nose, and mouth template to everything we see. Not only do our brains trick us into seeing these faces, animals, and objects but as soon as we see them our brain also connects a certain emotion to them. <p><p> **Hermann Rorschach** <br> The Rorschach test is created by Hermann Rorschach and introduced in 1921. It was a series of ten cards with symmetric ink-blotches on them, the ink-blotches were abstract and were not meant to represent anything, yet Hermann Rorschach could determine his patients mental state depending on what his patients scored in the ink-blotches test. Hermann Rorschach was arguably the first person to make use of the ‘face pareidolia’ effect and apply it to a medical field.
