This piece is a meditation on the evolution and use of tools, a call-back to the moment from 2001:Space Odyssey where the spinning bone transitions into a satellite. Though not meant to be totally linear, the piece moves from stone age to the advanced usage of concrete and steel. We see the human form juxtaposed against these tools and their shaping of the environment as cycles of construction and destruction play out.
