I’ve been surrounded by Nascar my entire life, and have been to hundreds of speedway races of all kinds. When I discovered that there was a monster truck show happening near me last year, I couldn’t pass it up. When I went, it was a completely different world than the nature of typical speedway races. There were no favorites and everyone was a hero. The audience cheered for destruction from all and there were no concerns about smoke clouds consuming the entire night sky, or anyone’s safety, for that matter. The worst part? No BYOB.
