This Waiting Room explores embodiment where the mundane becomes abject, furniture becomes flesh and surgical hands desperately seek out the portal between. Anxiety of the body is exposed here at the intersection of the medical and intimacy. The electronic noises and breaths alongside the final images suggest a collapse, an inability to go on – and yet the video continues to loop. Sound design by Jess Mac utilizing found sound clips edited together.
