‘Faces of Chance’ was created in April 2022, marking my first ever AI animation experiment. The title stems from an adoption of coincidence. Using AI technology and surrealist techniques, carefully curated photographs of faces are merged with found portraits selected entirely through chance. The subjects pictured are a personal and intimate selection, including family members, past lovers and friends. This is juxtaposed with a arbitrarily assortment of images featuring disconnected figures, including celebrities, politicians, and infamous criminals. The amalgamation seeks to emit an uncanny contrast, provoking thought surrounding the complexity of disposition and identity. No audio
