I've sort of made a study of what makes us feel a certain way about an image. Specifically, I'm going for a limbic reaction, something visceral. How do we identify something biological without the visual cues of blood, faces, and bones? Is it the movement? The color? This is an experiment in stripping out the redness, peeling back the lurid nature of an image. We can use moonlight with sapphire highlights to make something goopy. Does it look alive? Hard to say. Side note: I once ran a small factory that prefinished lumber. That is, sometimes you buy wood that already has paint on it. We did a lot of Cape Cod Gray, and it kind of looked like this coming out of the hose. At night. With a full moon. Boo!
