‘Sleep Paralysis’ part of the 'Disordered' series and delves into the profound terror experienced during sleep paralysis, capturing the essence of an unseen, unwelcome presence and the ensuing disorientation. To evoke the surreal auditory hallucinations characteristic of sleep paralysis, I have layered and manipulated various sounds, creating a sensory representation of this unsettling phenomenon. For the terrifying visual hallucinations I have juxtaposed disturbing imagery embedded in absurdism. Created using Midjourney, Photoshop, RunwayML and After Effects.Layered collected and distorted sounds - a mix of royalty free music and my own recordings.
