Inspiration for this [ OBJECTS ] came while remembering back me talking a long walk around 2007 from Harajuku to Akihabara, and finding a tucked away store in the base of a skyscraper not bigger than 2m x 2m filled with toys produced in Japan from the 50's and 60's. Had a nice talk with the owner and she told me the stories why these are so important to not only her but for a whole generation of collectors that are specializing on these items. Besides my personal experience it puts artists like KAWS and Nigo in perspective on why this part of arts is important. From daruma dolls to kendama and origami sets, these toys provide a window into Japanese traditions and artistic expressions. Music for this video was created by ORGNLPLN with T2S AI.
