Don't Be Late for Dinner creates an absurd and surreal universe pieced together from fragments of life experiences. It depicts the aimless drift of teenage life, marked by a compulsion to return home and get ready for dinner. Recurring elements such as the oversized mascot costumes that appear throughout my work express the social awkwardness I experience. These costumes are visual symbols of social anxiety in my videos, embodying the absurd feeling of being constantly judged and perceived as silly. Washing machines, another motif in my videos, symbolize the longing for purity.
