These spots emit blue light within the 420-490nm spectrum, contrasting the orange illumination. The slender body measures up to 15 cm and weighs under 2 grams, enabling ethereal gliding. Preferring cooler microclimates (15-25°C), it is active at dusk and dawn, using bioluminescence for communication and predator deterrence. It belongs to the Aurorae Lepidoptera cluster, highlighting evolutionary adaptations in dimly lit tropical environments.
