Luminoflora Aurorae, named from Latin 'lumen' (light) and 'aurorae' (dawn), is a rare Aqua Luminaceae species reaching 5-30cm in height. It features clustered, trumpet-shaped flowers with translucent, fringed petals shaded blue to violet and orange stamens. The semi-succulent, veined green leaves bear bioluminescent speckles. Bioluminescence occurs in petal epidermis and reproductive parts, emitting 420-490nm blue-green light via a luciferin-luciferase reaction enhanced by microstructures that diffuse light. Native to alpine meadows (0-15°C) in moist, well-drained soils, sturdy stems allow flower sway. Night-glowing flowers attract moths and beetles, aiding nocturnal pollination. In genus Luminoflora (10 species), it supports alpine nocturnal pollinator biodiversity and ecosystem resilience as a protected rare flora.
