Florem Luminasia, named from Latin 'florem' (flower) and 'luminasia' (light), is a rare luminescent species featuring compact inflorescences of trumpet-shaped flowers in dense clusters on pale, sturdy stems. Each flower has six translucent lilac-blue petals with subtle red speckles near central reproductive organs, softly undulating margins, and velvety texture enhancing light diffusion. Leaves are reduced, suited for rainforest understories. Bioluminescence occurs in petal glandular cells, emitting cool blue-green light (420-490 nm) likely attracting nocturnal moths and beetles. Native to humid, shaded tropical rainforest understories, it thrives between 10-25°C. Classified in Prismatica Lumina, genus Florem, with 20 species sharing bioluminescence and gentle movement in forest breezes, it enhances pollination in low light, sustaining stable populations.
