Luminiflora Radians, a stable species in the Noctiluca Arboreal cluster, is a rare, bioluminescent plant standing 15-30 cm tall and weighing 15-50g. It inhabits tropical rainforest understories at 20-30°C, thriving in shaded, warm conditions. Its flowers feature undulating, ribbon-like petals with curled margins in vivid orange, magenta, and crimson gradients, edged with raised glandular spots and a velvety surface densely packed with luminescent cells. Emitting cyan-blue light (420-490 nm) from photocytes on petals and reproductive structures, it enhances nocturnal visibility. Supported by a slender, flexible stem, it aids scent dispersion. Within family Noctilucaceae, genus Luminiflora, it attracts nocturnal moths and bioluminescent beetles for pollination, contributing to rainforest night-time biodiversity.
