Luminis Florasparkle, from Latin 'Luminis' (light) and 'Florasparkle' (sparkling floral luminescence), is a rare species in the Nereid Petalus cluster. It grows 10-25 cm tall, with delicately undulating, radially symmetrical petals shifting from pastel pinks and purples to iridescent blues, enhanced by dew-like droplets. Oblong, pinnate leaves with matte texture cluster on slender stems that sway to aid spore dispersal. Bioluminescence (420-490 nm) emits a soft blue-green glow from petal bases and veins, likely via luciferin-photoprotein interactions. Native to tropical rainforest canopies, it prefers shaded, ventilated microhabitats at 15-25°C and high humidity. Aligned with genus Nereid, it uses nocturnal pollination by moths and beetles attracted to its faint glow and nectar scent.
