Floriglow Lumenosus, named from Latin 'floris' (flower) and 'lumenosus' (luminous), is a rare bioluminescent plant of the Aurelia Petalina cluster. It stands 15-30 cm tall with delicate stems supporting large, undulate petals arranged in layered rosettes. Petals have a translucent bluish-white core with radiating veins transitioning to soft amber, featuring microgranular textures of bioluminescent vesicles. The lobed petals show intricate venation and a velvet-like surface speckled with light-emitting organelles. Its bioluminescence peaks at 470-530 nm, likely from luciferin-luciferase reactions in epidermal layers. Native to tropical rainforest canopies, it thrives between 15-25°C and sways with air currents without a rigid stem. Belonging to Aureliaceae, genus Aurelia, it includes 10 related species. Nocturnal luminescence aids pollination by night-active moths and beetles, highlighting its ecological importance and need for habitat protection.
