This is the second in a series of 10 IRL paintings I am recreating digitally for the Alpha series of the ART_DIGITIZED collection. The Alpha series primarily focuses on the color and texture of the original painting. The goal from there is to "translate" my what is done with a brush to vector shapes and shading. --- Abstract #1 as well as Altered Sight were, well a trip. I had been suffering from not taking care of my depression for a while at this point. I had recently turned towards painting as a way to cope. Along with this I turned to old and new substances. Say what you will about psychedelics, but for this instance it helped break something holding me back. Being afraid to create expressively, without limits. --- Not all IRL versions will be raffled to holders!
