This is the fourth in a series of 10 IRL paintings I am recreating digitally for the Alpha series of the ART_DIGITIZED collection. The Alpha series primarily focuses on the color and texture of the original painting. The goal from there is to "translate" my what is done with a brush to vector shapes and shading. --- Abstract #2 was my first attempt at mixing both oil paint (something new to me) and brush tip markers (something natural). The biggest thing I learned here was my impatience for paint to dry. Other than that this was simply a fun piece where I was able to focus on the contrast of the two mediums side-by-side. --- Not all IRL versions will be raffled to holders!
