A story about recovery and starting over again. A blunt to fakie was all it took… In my early 20’s I shattered my ankle while skateboarding in my friend's backyard. While confined to a sofa for 18 months, I discovered a new layer of creativity with my first digital drawing tablet. This composition was one of the first pieces I started during my recovery period. As I dreamed about getting back outside, I began to explore new corners of my imagination in my drawings. With more practice, lines and shapes started to flow more naturally. With each new piece finished I held onto the familiar feeling of learning a new trick.
