Composition II in red, blue and yellow is one of the most beautiful works by the painter Piet Mondrian (diminutive of Pieter Cornelis Mondriaan), father of neoplasticism (or De Stijl) together with Theo van Doesburg. Endowed with an apparent formal and stylistic simplicity, the complexity of its design disproves any doubt about its originality.
