The Color Palette project started from a need for constant visual stimulation. It unconsciously brought me to produce a body of work when the first intention was simply to bring life to old photos and the stories that come with them. Beyond the study of colors, the pieces became a reflection of the harmonious relationships of elements that already exist in our environment and how we make sense of it. Growing up Catholic in the Philippines, I try as much to find similarities in religions that connect us as humans shaped from different faiths. In this set Holy Waters, water is integral to the practice of Islam, Sikhism and Hinduism. It is clear how water is ever-present in our rituals as a symbol for purification. Water is also the element for connection, a symbol for oneness, because no matter where the waters are or might have been, they always seek and find ways to be back together.
