For as long as I can remember, I've had this fascination with geometry. It has been a recurring theme in my artwork for many years. It's a way to convey balance and lock-in compositions. But, in life, it's rare that anything is entirely balanced. To me, those anomalies and edge cases where the balance has been shifted or distorted are the most interesting parts. I spend most of my time while creating these pieces experimenting and searching for these anomalies so that I can incorporate them into my artwork. This piece is a perfect example of that experimentation. I've taken a rather ordinary triangle and inspected it through a multidimensional lens. Pulling out those prism-like parts and combining them with the original structure to create this distorted take on balance.
