Sabancı University Sakıp Sabancı Museum hosted an exhibition of works by Pablo Picasso, one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. Picasso in Istanbul was the first major exhibition in Turkey dedicated to a western artist, with 135 paintings covering every period of his work. The exhibition brings together works from the Picasso Museums in Paris and Barcelona, the Lille Museum of Modern Art, the Fundación Almine y Bernard Ruiz-Picasso para el Arte (FABA), and family collections selected by Picasso's grandson Bernard Ruiz-Picasso. In addition, photographs of the artist taken by famous photographers were also included in the exhibition. It was realized with the cooperation of Picasso in Istanbul, Sabancı Holding, FABA and the French Cultural Center in Istanbul.
