The universe’s fireworks brought to you by a wormhole over Oklahoma City. I originally had taken this photo in April 2021 in Scissortail Park inside of Oklahoma City. Inspired by my fascination with space and Star Trek, I wanted to create something drew on both. The vast openness that is Oklahoma combined with the single, monolithic Devon tower in Oklahoma City was reminiscent of the opening scenes of the J.J. Abrams Star Trek. Piecing that together with an artistic interpretation of a pixel-stretched blackhole hurtling meteors into the atmosphere felt like the sci-fi image that once only existed in my mind as a child.
