
Some of us are afraid of height; most of us also love to be on top! such an interesting contrast… fear of height and love of the top co-exist in us; what if we stand on top of our fears? If we stand on top of our fear, as a man stands on top of a peak of a mountain, then we would see the vastness of the world beyond the mountain, beyond the fear… then we will realise the minuscule nature of our fear; the flipside and the irony of the contrast is that the mountain - the fear - is what gives us the sense of stability. We all need a mountain - a ground beneath our feet - to be able to ascend. When fear is overwhelming, we stand, we look, then we ascend, then we rise, then we conquer.
