When I turned around towards the Moon, I saw the 22° Moon Halo, half Moon and Aurora Borealis happening all at once. I knew it was a unique moment to capture. Every astrophotographer and astronomy enthusiast dreams of witnessing and imaging Aurorae. For this reason, I traveled from Turkey to Lapland / Finland. This image was captured on the final night of my trip to Lapland with my Finnish photographer friends. The weather had made the photography impossible for the previous two nights. The night this photo was taken was not any different in terms of weather so we had to drive nearly 100 km towards North to get clear conditions and aurorae. A while after the arrival Aurora began and got more intense as it went on. People from the nearby resort were so loud, cheering and screaming…..
