Less is more, especially where creating wallpapers is concerned. Simple colors and lots of negative space help to insure your icons and work aren't lost in the clutter. I am also trying to attract new Members to my gallery so I want folks to say "Wow!" when they see my work. I don't feel comfortable charging people for simplistic designs so I have a tendency to go crazy with the details. An artistic fault of mine is that I sometimes don't know when to quit. That is not the case here. This piece was designed from the start to be a minimal study in silhouettes and blue. The title (which I feel is a crucial part of each piece) came to me immediately which is always a favorable omen. The piece was and remains extremely popular in my collection. *If anyone is curious the Amazon Kindle was released in 2007 (a year later) and has a very similar logo. Mine came first π
