Avalanche Lake is situated at the top of a 2 mile long trail in Glacier National Park, Montana. The lake is rimmed with steep cliffs on three sides with numerous cascading waterfalls. This photograph captures the magic of Avalanche Lake on a snowy day in late October. This is work #1 of a limited series based on images I captured in Montana in 2020. A portion of sales will be donated to the Glacier National Park Conservancy.
