This is a polar bear eating whale meat that appeared in Kaktovik, facing the Arctic Ocean in Alaska. Kaktovik is a traditional Native Alaskan village where whale fishing is allowed only three times a year. This piece was taken in September of 2016. Usually, the sea here is rough, but at this time, the scene of polar bears eating against the backdrop of a calm sea and the village of Kaktovik at sunset is something that is rarely seen.
