I've always been fascinated with magic and magic-users. My favorite characters in fantasy novels are always the wizards and they feature prominently in my work. Wizards create something out of nothing and I've always admired that ability. It is probably why I've always admired artists and creative people. Art has always seemed like magic to me (especially since I cannot draw). I created this piece using Lightwave3D and the same particle plugin that I used for "Pyre". They are companion pieces really, as I used a very similar workflow to create them both. I created an animation and only rendered one frame at desktop resolution.
