Lightning strikes a wind turbine and power-line late one October night as powerful storms and a few tornadoes raked across Oklahoma. Pure poetry captured in an instant as one of nature's most powerful forces electrifies our human creation for harnessing another raw natural force and converting it into usable power. The other half of the bolt struck the middle of a power-line causing 4 of the poles on either side of the bolt to arc over. This photo is the culmination of years of work chasing thunderstorms all across the US and marks a bucketlist shot for me. I was absolutely ecstatic to see this bolt in the back of my camera and when I zoomed in to see it had hit the turbine, I was over the moon. Proceeds from this NFT will go towards healthcare and equipment upgrades I am trying to lock down before next storm season.
