Midnight of summer solstice, the longest day of the year. On this day Iceland does not get dark. The pink hue hangs in the sky for hours. To me, this is the most magical time of year. This picture is shot at midnight on June 21st, at the Glacier Lagoon of Iceland. The icebergs from Vatnajökull glacier float around here for a few days before they continue out to sea and eventually dissolve into the blue ocean.
