In some of his paintings, he used 3D objects made out of cement. As a fan of spirituality, Buddhism, and symbols that transcendent the ego - I suddenly got the inspiration to use my Buddha for a painting instead of using it as a statue. I glued it on the canvas and painted it all blue. It was very calm and, from the front, you couldn't see that he was 3D. But something was missing. It was too still for my taste. So I used colorful acrylic paints to splash all over the painting. Which made it much more alive and joyful!! Now it is both - Peaceful & Joyful.
