A long exposure during the total solar eclipse of 2017 shows lunar details from light reflected off the Earth's surface and back onto the moon. A photo capturing the Sun's corona along with the faint earthshine is extremely difficult due to the high dynamic range and timing involved. Nine automated photos taken mid-totality with exposures ranging from 1 second to 1/500s captured the complete dynamic range for this super HDR image.
