“Unraveled” is Sieg Mattel’s genesis piece, the introduction to a series of uniquely crafted character pieces. As a first glimpse into Sieg’s universe, this minuscule man held together by yarn experiences an existential crisis as his threading loosens from wear and tear — until he starts to unravel. The character itself was posed and procedurally "woven" using a custom-made process in Houdini, then rendered out with Redshift and touched up in Photoshop. Edition 1 of 1 3000 x 3000 pixels
