Vincent van Gogh was not commercially successful during his lifetime, and his suicide at 37 came after years of mental illness, depression and poverty. He only sold one painting during his lifetime; The Red Vineyards. Artists are often under appreciated for what they do in society. Peopling asking artists to free work for “exposure” is all too common. This wave of NFTs fills me with hope for the future of culture and the artists who create it.
